Heat-shrinkable tape TL is used for anti-corrosion protection of welded joints of steel pipes with a polyethylene outer coating for various purposes, including connections of heating pipelines.
The operating temperature of the belts is from -60 to +60.
The tear strength of the tape from steel is at least 5 kg/cm.
Heat-shrinkable TL tape creates moisture-impermeable and durable insulation of a steel pipeline from the effects of aggressive factors of industrial atmospheres and soils, as well as from “stray” electric currents. TL tape consists of a polymer heat-shrinkable base and a hot-melt adhesive layer applied to it. To insulate one pipe joint, a piece of tape equal to 3.5 pipe diameters is used. The tape is supplied in rolls. The insulation service life is 30 years.
